Why support the Arts, and Music in particular?
In an article titled "We need music to survive", Karl Paulnack, Dean of the School of Music at Ithaca College, answers this question masterfully.
Here is an excerpt:
"I now understand that music is not part of arts and entertainment. It's not a luxury, something we fund from budget leftovers. Music is a basic need of human survival. Music is one of the ways we make sense of things, a way to express feelings when we have no words, a way to understand things with our hearts when we cannot grasp them with our minds. Music is the language we choose when we are speechless."

Commission of New Works
Over the past few years, we have commissioned a young composer, Dr. Richard K. Fitzgerald, to write pieces for our choir. We have also commissioned Lana Walter to write a piece for us, in 2017.
We would like to commission more works, taping the talents of emerging, talented composers and enriching the repertoire for women's voices in the process. Would you be willing to help us?
Any amount is appreciated!
