On this feast of the Immaculate Conception, Voix de Femmes presents a story that begins with a shocking visit: that of an angel to a very young girl. The message is frightening and difficult to believe. Yet a few months later, this young girl will visit her cousin and sing what is the earliest known Marian hymn: the Magnificat.

Will You Love Me Tomorrow?
Love is always in the air in Mid-February, so Voix de Femmes will present choral pieces highlighting
the complexity of the sentiment hidden beneath those four little letters. With Bette Midler, we say: “It’s the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance” and we join Carole King who asks: “Will you still love me tomorrow?” But we hope that, with Edith Piaf, you will still be willing to see “La Vie en Rose!” Cabaret singer extraordinaire Brooke Evers will add her voice to this romantic evening, accompanied by the talented pianist Grace Cho! |
